How to Care for Your Wood Ring

March 1, 2026

Your handcrafted wood ring is a unique piece of wearable art, and with a little care, it will stay beautiful for years to come.

Daily Wear Tips

Wood rings are surprisingly durable, but they do have a few enemies: prolonged water exposure, harsh chemicals, and extreme heat.

  • Remove before washing dishes or swimming. Brief hand washing is fine, but don't soak your ring.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals. Cleaning products, hand sanitizer in excess, and solvents can damage the finish.
  • Take it off for heavy manual work. While the ring is tough, impacts against hard surfaces can cause chips.
  • Monthly Maintenance

Once a month, give your ring a little TLC:

  • Wipe it down with a soft, dry cloth to remove any oils or residue.
  • Apply a thin coat of mineral oil or beeswax polish with your fingertip.
  • Let it absorb for a few minutes, then buff with a clean cloth.
